The office policy manager is responsible for developing regulations and industry guidance while improving stakeholder outreach. During the COVID-19 pandemic this involved working on interim orders and Food and Drug Regulations specific to COVID as well as numerous web pages and policy guidance publications. Stakeholder briefing has remained central to ensuring coordination on a complex product approvals and ensuring timely decisions and communications. Fiona has 14 years experience at both Health Canada and the Public Health Agency of Canada working on interdepartmental science policy issues. Prior to this she completed her PhD in Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Ottawa.
